  • Three of Cups & Cancer Season (June 2026)

Soul Tarot by Lindsay Mack, art by Chelsea Granger Greetings Friends, Happy Solstice! In the Northern Hemisphere, it is the longest day in the year and in the Southern, the shortest. Wherever you are, the Solstice marks an important turning of the light and an opportunity to set intentions for the next six month cycle. It also marks the beginning of Cancer Season. The second decan of Cancer (July 2-12) relates to the Three of Cups in the tarot, a card that signals we are among our soul family. When this card appears in a reading, it is time to celebrate the beings in our lives who truly see us, hear us and love us for who we are. In Lindsay Mack's gorgeous deck Soul Tarot, illustrated by Chelsea Granger, we see three cups pouring water around a spiral. This clues us into the magic of the card, and the timeless quality we experience when surrounded by loved ones. Like all the threes in the tarot, the Three of Cups tells us there is synergy at play, that the whole is worth more than the sum of it's parts. And as Cups symbolize our emotional and spiritual waters, we are invited to simply go with the flow and let our hearts be nourished in the process. Cancer Season is ruled by the Moon, a luminary known for it's constant presence and ever-changing face. And while we don't get to party with our soul kin in our mortal bodies forever, we do get a glimpse of what heaven feels like when they're around. So this season, embrace those that see the celestial within you. What better way to mark the turning points in our lives than with those who make us feel eternal. with love and celebration, Lisa

  • Nine of Swords & Gemini Season (May 2026)

Dog Tarot by Megan Lynn Kott Greetings Friends, Let's simplify things. Put down your worries for a moment, as well as your schedule and your to-do's. Put down anything from the past or the future and simply take a deep breath in... and out... feel better? Welcome to Gemini Season. The second decan of Gemini (June 1-10) relates to the Nine of Swords in the tarot, a card that reflects a state of anxiety and overwhelm. In many decks, this card is depicted as someone waking up from a nightmare with nine swords hanging over their head. But in Megan Lynn Kott's Dog Tarot, we see a doggo staring into space. To quote from the guidebook, "Your nervous system is in overdrive and not even treats or a forbidden sit on the couch are comforting." Like all the nines in the tarot, the Nine of Swords asks us to pause, and reflect on our situation. And because the Swords have to do with the mind, this card asks us to pay particular attention to the stories we tell ourselves. When this card comes up in a reading, it's often a sign that our greatest fears will not come to pass. In this way, it is a gentle wake up call to return to the present and stop cycling through thoughts that cause us discomfort. Geminis are the comedians of the zodiac, able to find humor in nearly anything, an especially valuable gift during overwhelming times. So this Gemini season, if you feel like a dog in need of a thunder blanket on a sunny afternoon, take a deep breath, come back to the present and rest on the couch as long as want. with love and simplicity, Lisa

  • Six of Pentacles & Taurus Season (April 2026)

Anima Mundi Tarot, by Megan Wyreweden Greetings Friends, As I write this, my cat Baxter sleeps in a sunbeam. He is not one to miss his afternoon nap, post playing and snacks. For when his inner clock tells him it's time to wind down, he listens. In this way, he is my teacher as we enter Taurus Season. The second decan of Taurus relates to the Six of Wands in the tarot, a card that invites us into physical and financial equilibrium. In many decks, this card is depicted as a wealthy individual handing out coins to the less fortunate, but in Megan Wyreweden's nature based  Anima Mundi Taro t, we see an ecosystem of support and exchange. Like all the sixes of the minor arcana, the Six of Pentacles reveals that we are moving from contraction into expansion, that is, a greater state of ease and awareness.  For some of us, giving can be a challenge, as it brings up fears of not having enough. For others, receiving is hard, as it evokes guilt about not being able to do it all on one's own. But when we view the Six of Pentacles through the lens of the forest, we understand the symbiotic beauty at play. The squirrels eat the tree's acorns, as well as bury them nearby, hilariously forgetting about the majority of them, which leads to more trees.  The birds eat berries and then spread their seeds through elimination, while the trees and mushrooms exchange nutrients for survival. This is the great teaching of this card, and of Taurus season in general, that when we trust our interconnection, generosity is inevitable. So whether you take your cues from a cat or an oak tree, honor your personal rhythms this month, knowing that they are informed by a vast, brilliant, regenerative system, and then trust the abundance that comes. with love and equilibrium, Lisa

  • Three of Wands & Aries Season (March 2026)

The Wild Unknown Tarot , by Kim Krans Greetings Friends, Happy Equinox! For those in the Northern Hemisphere spring has started to show her face. For those in the Southern, you are reaping the harvest of the summer. Collectively, we are in a time of balancing the dark and the light, and seeing where our dreams meet reality. Welcome to Aries Season.   The second decan of Aries relates to the Three of Wands in the tarot, a card that invites us, after years of living under certain conditions, to step toward a new horizon. I often relate this card to the scene in Indiana Jones where Indy steps out over an abyss as a bridge materializes beneath him. Like the Fool card, Three of Wands is about having the faith to move forward. Unlike the Fool, this card indicates that we have already accumulated a great deal of experience, and yet, our soul calls out for a greater evolution of consciousness.  If we accept the invitation, the Three of Wands acts as a portal, delivering us to a more loving reality. This is depicted beautifully in The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans, where the three wands create a rainbow portal against a black and white backdrop. Despite it's association with fiery Aries, this card takes it's time, asking us to go steadily forth without knowing precisely where we're headed. But to take a lesson from the wildflowers, we simply need to move toward the light to realize our colors.  with love and faith, Lisa

  • Pisces Season and Nine of Cups (Feb. 2026)

Golden Girls Tarot, A Look into the Future from the Lanai Greetings Friends, Happy Chinese New Year for those who celebrate! The year of the Fire Horse has arrived, urging us to align our actions with our heart's desire. And what better time to do it, then with the dreamiest of signs- welcome to Pisces season.  The second decan of Pisces relates to the Nine of Cups in the tarot, a card that dares us to dream again after losing things we loved and moving on from dreams we cherished. While painful at times, all of that letting go was necessary in order to prepare space for what truly brings us joy.  In the charming Golden Girl's Tarot, A Look into Your Future from the Lanai,  the Nine of Cups is illustrated with Rose eating a delectable piece of cheesecake. Who knows how long she has desired the cheesecake or if she is eating it in celebration of something wonderful. What is clear though, is the sweetness of the moment, and the message that it brings- it's safe to dream again, our joy is not out of reach.  Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of gifts and abundance, Pisces season reminds us of the transcendent magic of the universe. This is why Pisces' are such exquisite artists and musicians, they are so deeply receptive to the spiritual energy that surrounds them. So despite the challenges and grief over the last year, Pisces season is here to remind us that nothing can truly be lost within the ocean of our being, it can only be remade to better suit our soul's evolution. So this Pisces season, let's treat ourselves to a cup or slice, of what truly delights us, as we dream in a more loving future.  with joy and abundance, Lisa

  • Aquarius Season & Six of Swords (Jan. 2026)

Your First Tarot, by Victoria Maxwell. Art by Pamela Coleman Smith Greetings Friends,  We've made it to 2026... do you feel a shift? In Chinese astrology, 2025 was the year of the Wood Snake, a year for shedding illusions, endings and emotional detox. Beginning on February 17th 2026, we enter the year of the Fire Horse, a time for new beginnings, vitality and freedom. In simpler terms, the snake cleared the path so the horse could run. But shedding can be exhausting, and our new skin is still tender, so if you're feeling raw right now, you're not alone. Thankfully, 2025 also showed us who our true friends are, our chosen family, those who align with our deepest values and with whom we want to shape our future, which brings us to Aquarius Season.      The second decan of Aquarius relates to the Six of Swords in the tarot, a card that speaks to the value of friendship and energetic allies through trying times. In her lovely and accessible deck,  Your First Tarot , Victoria Maxwell describes the theme as "moving on & leaving difficulties behind." And we see this expressed in Pamela Coleman Smith's classic rendering of a figure rowing a mother and child to safety after leaving what was once their home.    Ruled by Uranus, the planet of awakening and collective progress, Aquarian energy reminds us of our inextricable connection and communal power. This is why Aquarians are considered the humanitarians and innovators of the zodiac. The shadow side of Aquarian energy however, is progress without heart, innovation without soul.  Perhaps, that is the best barometer as we move forward into the new year. If it's disconnected from compassion, is it a future we want to be part of? The Six of Swords says "NO," and steers us toward true peace and liberation. And while we may not always know where we're headed, we can be certain it's in the direction of greater wholeness and love.  with peace and friendship,   Lisa

  • Three of Pentacles and Capricorn Season (Dec. 2025)

Our Tarot by Sarah Shipman   Greetings Friends,  Happy Solstice. Depending on your hemisphere, this is either the longest day or the longest night of your year. A time to reflect on where we've been, give thanks for what we have and set intentions for a future grounded in love. It's also the beginning of Capricorn Season, the sign of cardinal Earth. The second decan of Capricorn relates to the Three of Pentacles in the tarot, a card that speaks to the power of community and teamwork. In readings, this card indicates that the task at hand requires a multitude of skill sets and perspectives to be achieved.    In her powerful deck, Our Tarot, A Guidebook and Deck Featuring Notable Women in History, artist Sarah Shipman chose the groundbreaking writer Octavia Butler as a representative for this archetype. Best known for her brilliant science fiction that features unlikely combinations of characters working together to make a better world, Octavia Butler beautifully embodies the wisdom of diversity and determination that is key to the Three of Pentacles. Ruled by Saturn, a planet where the atmosphere is so dense that it rains diamonds, Capricorn compels us to make our dreams real, regardless of the difficulty. And the Three of Pentacles reminds us that we need not do this alone. To quote Butler, "There's no single answer that will solve all of our future problems. Instead, there are thousands of answers, at least. You can be one of them if you choose to be." This reminder that each of us has a unique role to play in building a better future for ourselves and each other is what this card and this season are truly about.  May we enter the new year with the intention to play our individual roles with all of our hearts.  With love and determination, Lisa

  • Eight of Wands & Sagittarius Season (November 2025)

Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitashi   Greetings Friends,  What a time to be alive. Amidst turmoil, heartache and uncertainty, the sun still rises and our hearts still beat. Place a hand over your heart now if you're up for it, how does it feel? What does it need? And what would it have you know?  Welcome to Sagittarius Season. The first decan of Sagittarius relates to the Eight of Wands in the tarot, a card that delivers news and change with a quickness! In readings, this card indicates a significant message is on it's way, one that will provide clarity and opportunity. In a broader sense, Eight of Wands marks a transformation of our life force, a fiery jolt to a stagnant situation, allowing for movement once more.    In her beautiful folklore inspired deck,  Tarot of the Divine, artist Yoshi Yoshitani depicts this archetype as the mythical Rainbow Crow delivering fire from the heavens to a frozen landscape .  It's a powerful image, similar to the archer of Sagittarius. But instead of a bow and arrow, the crow arrives with rainbow wings. Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of wisdom and expansion, Sagittarius season enters with a blast of good feeling. The death cycle of Scorpio is over and it's time to revel in our renewal. These energies remind us that we can be both bold and light-hearted, that a touch of warmth can revive an entire eco-system. And that simply being here, with an open mind and a beating heart, is worth celebrating.  with love and light-heartedness, Lisa

  • Five of Cups & Scorpio Season (Oct. 2025)

Tarot of the Cat People by Karen Kuykendall Greetings Friends, For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the days are getting shorter and the air is getting cooler. The sweaters are coming out and the candles are being lit. As the darkness returns, so the veil thins and we are invited once again to feel the unseen. Welcome to Scorpio Season.   The first decan of Scorpio relates to the Five of Cups in the tarot, a card that evokes a sense of loss. In the simplest terms, the loss is evident in the darkening days and the falling leaves. The last of the summer's harvest being reaped as we prepare once again for winter. It's a time full of beauty and completion when we allow the process to unfold. In readings though, this energy can be met with great disappointment. It often points to a loss that we did not want or choose. Like Scorpio, it's an archetype steeped in emotion and inevitability, but also rebirth.    In her rich, fantastical style, artist Karen Kuykendall depicts this archetype with warmth and possibility in her deck  Tarot of the Cat People. While the couple, and their cat!, appear bereft at their empty cups, there is a wide open window behind them letting in the light. This signals the dawning of the new after the loss of the familiar, whenever we are ready to face it.  When this card appears in readings, I encourage people to allow room for all their feelings. Grieving is a wise and necessary process in the face of loss and heartache. Bypassing grief does not make it go away but rather compounds the energy in ways that can be harmful. Like Scorpio, the cups suit relates to water, and this card invites us to let all of our emotional waters flow. Then trust that once the rains have passed, there will be new growth to nourish us. So however you relate to the season, remember that the light is always there, even when we must look inside to find it. with love and all the feelings, Lisa

  • Two of Swords & Libra Season (September 2025)

Rainbow Tarot by So Lazo Greetings Friends, Welcome to the soul party, where you are the guest of honor. So put on your finest attire, and your freshest face, as we enter into the sign of peace, beauty and equilibrium. Welcome to Libra Season. The first decan of Libra relates to the Two of Swords in the tarot, a card symbolizing a moment to pause, look inward, and find inner peace around an external situation. I had the joy of doing a reading for a friend recently where this card was front and center. In their signature colorful style, the artist So Lazo depicts this archetype in their Rainbow Tarot deck with levity and play, adorning her with polka dots and a party hat! This is a refreshing take on a card that often evokes stalemates and disconnection. But here, Two of Swords is dressed for fun, reminding us that putting up healthy boundaries and returning to the wisdom of one's heart can be a blast. From the outside, the image may seem steely, but at her back is the power of the moon, the ocean and a flame-like tree. It is a magical backdrop, fit for a celestial reunion. The imagery also evokes the message of Venus, Libra's ruler. That when the mind fails to find balance with the outside world, we can always return to the realm of feeling, the realm of the heart. It's here where we are welcomed with open arms to the party of our soul, the party of peace, where the good vibes never end. So when we are ready to drop our swords, take off our blindfold and return to our external surroundings, we will do so refreshed, revitalized and clear-eyed. with love and equilibrium, Lisa

  • Eight of Pentacles & Virgo Season (August 2025)

Anima Mundi Tarot by Megan Wyreweden Greetings Friends,  Ready for some alone time? Ready to tune out the distractions and listen to the quiet voice from within? It's Virgo season and we are not meant to be disturbed. We have work to do.    The first decan of Virgo relates to the Eight of Pentacles in the tarot, a card symbolizing a time of transformation through devoting oneself to their work, not as a form of self-sacrifice but as an act of service.    I reference Megan Wyreweden's  Anima Mundi Tarot often because the archetypes are so clearly reflected in the natural world. But also, because the art is so beautiful, and beauty is a hallmark of Virgo's craft. Above, we see two North America Beavers making a dam that will serve as both a lodge and food storage, as they prepare for the fall. While building a dam may not be a glamorous process, there is beauty in the commitment and result. So let the energy of Eight of Pentacles inspire you this Virgo Season as you take stock of what is needed for the last months of the year. For some, this is a time of harvesting, for other's, it's a time of release. Either way, the season invites you to focus on what matters most and how to best build a life that nourishes and supports it. Sending you love, focus, devotion, and some goddamn peace and quiet.  Happy Virgo Season, Lisa

  • Five of Wands & Leo Season (July 2025)

Megan Lynn Kott's Cat Tarot Greetings Friends, The season of the cat has arrived!  This month, take a note from our feline kin about self care. Lay in the sun when you want to, take a bath, swat away whatever is getting in your personal space. Make the weirdest things into a game. It's Leo Season, and you deserve to enjoy it! The first decan of Leo relates to the Five of Wands in the tarot, a card that can evoke both fiery chaos and wildly good times (have you met a Leo?). In readings, the Five of Wands often represents a situation where the landscape is being remade, whether through creating a new work of art or  competing to see who has the most toys (in some decks, Five of Wands is depicted as a volcano)! In Megan Lynn Kott's delightfully playful Cat Tarot,  we see two kittens playing with a pile of toys. It's fun, it's chaotic -  is it too many toys? Is it just the right amount? Are they playing or are they fighting? Is someone gonna get bit?! These are all fair questions with Five of Wands energy, which can be overwhelming. So let this be a reminder to be kind to yourself through the fiery transformations in your life, something heart-led Leo's know a lot about. If the heat gets to be too much, take a break and have a cat nap. When it comes to creativity, sometimes surrendering to the process is the only way forward. With love and warmth, Lisa
