Three of Wands & Aries Season (March 2026)

Greetings Friends,

Happy Equinox! For those in the Northern Hemisphere spring has started to show her face. For those in the Southern, you are reaping the harvest of the summer. Collectively, we are in a time of balancing the dark and the light, and seeing where our dreams meet reality. Welcome to Aries Season.  

The second decan of Aries relates to the Three of Wands in the tarot, a card that invites us, after years of living under certain conditions, to step toward a new horizon. I often relate this card to the scene in Indiana Jones where Indy steps out over an abyss as a bridge materializes beneath him. Like the Fool card, Three of Wands is about having the faith to move forward. Unlike the Fool, this card indicates that we have already accumulated a great deal of experience, and yet, our soul calls out for a greater evolution of consciousness. 

If we accept the invitation, the Three of Wands acts as a portal, delivering us to a more loving reality. This is depicted beautifully in The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans, where the three wands create a rainbow portal against a black and white backdrop. Despite it's association with fiery Aries, this card takes it's time, asking us to go steadily forth without knowing precisely where we're headed. But to take a lesson from the wildflowers, we simply need to move toward the light to realize our colors.
