Two of Cups & Cancer Season (June 2025)

Greetings Friends,

Let's get cozy. Find you favorite blanket, socks or spot on the beach. If you're near the ocean, let it's music wash over you. And if you're not, you can go there in your mind. It's Cancer season and our emotional waters are calling us home.  The first decan of Cancer relates to the Two of Cups in the tarot, a card about kindred spirits. In readings, the Two of Cups often represents a relationship where we feel deeply seen and cared for. These are the duo's that finish each other's sentences, if they have to speak at all, and reflect back the magic to each other that they may not always see in themselves. This card can also come up around inner child work, acknowledging that the innocent, playful part of us is feeling safe enough to come out of hiding. 

In Megan Wyreweden's nature deck, Anima Mundi Tarot, we see a pair of seahorses vibing at the ocean floor. Seahorses are known to mate for life and use their powerful tails to anchor to seagrass and coral so that they don't get carried away in the current. This is a nice way to think about Cancer season, a time when we may feel extra tender and desire nothing more than a chill out room and the company of our soul family. So whatever currents this season brings, be sure to allow yourself a similar refuge, either with friends, family, or quiet time in nature where your inner child can come to the surface and play.
